SkyWest flight that departed Cedar Rapids makes emergency landing in Milwaukee

A SkyWest plane that departed Cedar Rapids early Friday bound for Detroit had to make an emergency landing in Milwaukee after a sudden loss of cabin pressure.

SkyWest spokeswoman Marissa Snow confirmed in a Friday statement the flight, which was operating as Delta Connection, experienced a cabin pressure issue and safely landed in Milwaukee.

Snow said there were 38 passengers and three crew members on the plane.

One passenger reported ear pain and was transported to the hospital, the release states.

Maintenance teams are evaluating the aircraft to determine what may have caused the issue.

'We apologize to our passengers and worked to help them continue their travels on another aircraft as quickly as possible,” the release states.
