Shots fired twice in same Waterloo neighborhood

Waterloo police responded to two reports of shots fired in the same neighborhood early this morning.
The first report came in around 4:30 a.m. today in the 800 block of Allen Street. Officers found no injuries and no indications that the bullets hit anything.
Then around 6:40 a.m. today, they were called to 704 Allen Street for another report of shots fired. This time officers found seven shell casings in a nearby parking lot.
The house, at 704 Allen Street, appears to have been hit by by some of the bullets. However, no one inside the home was injured.
Officers continue to investigate and look for any possible descriptions of the shooters.
