Shelter available for Benton County windstorm victims

VINTON - Food, shelter and medical aid is available in Vinton as Benton County residents continue to pick up the pieces of Monday's windstorm.
The Benton County Emergency Management Agency said Friday that it has set up an American Red Cross shelter at Tilford Elementary School, 308 E. 13th St., for all county residents who need food, assistance or shelter from the rising heat.
The county said it will open another food station Saturday at Shellsburg High School, 210 W 21st Street.
