Several in custody after incident at Cedar Rapids apartment
Several people were taken into custody after an incident involving police Friday afternoon in southwest Cedar Rapids.
Officers were called to an apartment building at 217 Seventh St. SW around 2:45 p.m. today, and were seen taking several people from the scene in handcuffs. Some of the officers were dressed in riot gear and carrying shields.
The incident has now largely been resolved, police said. Further details weren't immediately available. Check back for updates as they become available.
