Serious injuries for motorcycle rider in Cedar Rapids Crash
CEDAR RAPIDS - Investigators say a motorcycle rider sustained "life threatening injuries" in a crash Saturday afternoon on the city's northeast side.
According to a police report, a motorcycle and an SUV crashed near the intersection of "O" Avenue NE and Center Point Road.
Responders took the motorcycle rider to a local hospital and police cited the SUV driver for improper change of lanes.
Cedar Rapids police blocked off Center Point Road, starting at 29th Avenue NE, for hours as investigative crews gathered information on the scene.
