Sentencing dates set for men convicted in Cedar Rapids murder

Three defendants convicted for the murder of Kevin Bell, 26, last year will be sentenced in June in Linn County District Court.
Denem Null, 18, of Cedar Rapids, pleaded guilty last week just before his trial started to second-degree murder and first-degree robbery. He will be sentenced 1:30 p.m. June 10. He faces up to 75 years in prison.
Gabriel Taylor, 18, and Johven Lee, 21, both of Cedar Rapids, pleaded guilty two weeks ago to first-degree robbery. They will be sentenced 1:30 p.m. June 3. They each face a mandatory 25 years in prison.
Null, Taylor and Lee admitted breaking into Bell's apartment Jan. 11, 2010 with the intent to rob him. Null admitted during the plea that he took a gun and shot Bell.
Taylor and Lee said during their pleas that Null brought the gun and shot Bell in the head.
Denem Null, Gabriel Taylor and Johven Lee will be sentenced in June for their roles in the death of Kevin Bell last year.
