Semi rolls at Interstate 80, Interstate 380 interchange
UPDATE: A Ladora man was taken to University Hospitals this morning after the semi-trailer truck he was driving rolled on its side while negotiating an exit ramp at Interstates 80 and 380 near Iowa City.
John Vesly, 27, was injured in the crash. According to reports from the Iowa State Patrol, Vesly, driving for Hummer Trucking of Williamsburg, lost control of his truck while negotiating the exit ramp from southbound Interstate 380 to eastbound Interstate 80 at around 9:50 a.m. today.
The truck rolled onto its left side and slid onto Interstate 80, according to the State Patrol report. The crash snarled traffic for some time in the area.
