Semi Flip On I-380 in Downtown Cedar Rapids Leads To Detour

CEDAR RAPIDS – Traffic on northbound I-380 in downtown Cedar Rapids is detoured after a semi flipped in the “S-curve” early Saturday morning.
All traffic is being detoured off I-380 northbound at the Diagonal Drive exit, and returned to the interstate at the 1st Avenue on-ramp, adjacent to the Linn County Sheriff's Office.
Crews estimate that clean-up could last until 1:00 p.m. Saturday.
Vehicles are required to merge into a single lane, with traffic moving at a stop-and-go pace. Drivers should expect delays. Police urge drivers to use alternate routes if possible.
According to police, the driver of the semi tractor trailer was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
