Another man has been arrested in connection with a July 3 assault along Broadway Street in Iowa City.
Donte L. Green, 28, of an unknown address, was arrested Wednesday night on suspicion of willful injury causing bodily injury, a Class D felony. He was taken to the Johnson County Jail and was being held Wednesday on a $7,500 cash bond.
Donte Green's brother Terry L. Green, 33, of an unknown address, was arrested earlier this month in connection with the same incident.
Police say Donte and Terry Green entered an unidentified man's bedroom in the 1900 block of Broadway Street just before 2 a.m. July 3. Donte Green picked up a glass liquor bottle filled with coins and struck the victim in the head several times. Terry Green then jumped onto the victim's bed and stomped him repeatedly.
The man suffered head and face lacerations in the attack and was taken to University Hospitals for treatment.
Police were told a total of three men were involved in the attack, one of whom was armed with a knife.
Calvin Battle, 31, of Tipton was arrested at the scene on suspicion of interference with official acts.
Terry L. Green pleaded not guilty in a written arraignment July 14. He is scheduled for trial Sept. 13.
