Season's first measureable snowfall likely Friday night

Parts of Eastern Iowa could see more than three inches of snow from the season's first significant winter storm , starting as early as Friday afternoon.
A winter storm watch has been issued for most of the area from Friday afternoon through Saturday afternoon.
Most of northeast Iowa is expected to see more than three inches of snow from the storm by Saturday afternoon. Cedar Rapids and Waterloo are expected to see one to three inches, and southeast Iowa should see up to an inch by the time the storm wraps up.
Colder weather is expected to arrive in the storm's wake, with highs early next week only expected in the teens.
