EAST MEADOW, N.Y. - The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders scored four goals in the first period and went on to beat the Lincoln Stars, 4-1, in their first game at the preseason USHL Atlantic Challenge.
The Riders goal goals from Alec Marsh, Brendan Harris, Erik Foley and Andrew Gaus. Foley and Gaus also had assists.
Danny Tirone made 21 saves in net for the goaltending victory. The RoughRiders outshot Lincoln, 34-22.
Their next Atlantic Challenge game is 5:30 p.m. Saturday against the Muskegon Lumberjacks.
