RoughRiders win in overtime
BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Jack Ahcan scored 4:09 into overtime to give the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders a 4-3 win over the Bloomintgon Thunder on Friday night.
Hugh McGing scored with 4:32 left in regulation for the Riders to take the game to OT. McGing and Pavel Tkachkov had goals in the first period for Cedar Rapids, with Bloomington rallying to score the next three.
The RoughRiders outshot Bloomington by a 45-25 margin, including having the only six shots on goal in overtime. Ben Blacker got the win in net.
Cedar Rapids hosts Tri-City on Saturday night at 7:05.
