RoughRiders’ Fronk wins USHL honor

CEDAR RAPIDS - Jiri Fronk of the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders has been named United States Hockey League Forward of the Week, the league announced Monday.
Fronk, 20, had four goals and an assist in a pair of wins for his team last weekend over the United States National Team Development Program's U-16 team. The Czech Republic native leads the USHL with 15 goals in 17 games and is fourth in the league with a plus-minus rating of plus 12.
Eric Schierhorn of Muskegon was named USHL Goaltender of the week. The Defenseman of the Week is Daniel Willett of Madison.
The RoughRiders play Wednesday night at Lincoln and Thursday night at Waterloo. They host Waterloo on Saturday night.
