RoughRiders’ Curti named to USHL All-Rookie Team

CEDAR RAPIDS - Cedar Rapids RoughRiders defenseman Charlie Curti has been selected to the United States Hockey League's 2014 All-Rookie Team, the league announced Wednesday.
Curti, 17, played in all 60 of the Riders' games, scoring 23 points on four goals and 19 assists. The Mound, Minn., resident is a Yale University commit but will return to play one more season in Cedar Rapids first.
The other All-Rookie Team members are forwards Robby Jackson (Chicago), Tyler Sheehy (Waterloo), Denis Smirnov (Indiana), defensemen Hayden Shaw (Waterloo) and Tim Shoup (Indiana) and goaltender Hayden Hawkey (Omaha).
The team was selected via vote of the USHL's coaches and general managers.
