CEDAR RAPIDS – Police shut down an Interstate 380 on-ramp for about 25 minutes Wednesday after a minivan left the roadway.
Shortly before 11 a.m., the southbound minivan went off I-380 and down a steep embankment just after crossing over Highway 30, police said. It caused police to shut down the ramp from eastbound Highway 30 to southbound I-380 until around 11:25 a.m.
Sgt. Cristy Hamblin said one person was taken by ambulance to Mercy Medical Center. Officers were still investigating what caused the van to leave the road, she said.
