With RAGBRAI just four months away, we now have a better idea of just where all those cyclists will travel. Organizers have already announced the seven overnight stops on the route. On Sunday, they released the rest of the details for the ride.
This year's ride starts in Glenwood in Western Iowa and includes stops in Atlantic Carroll, Boone, Altoona, Grinnell, and Coralville before ending in Davenport.
The route released Sunday details how riders will get between those towns.
All told, it's 454 miles long. That's about average for the ride. It's also about average for the amount of hills on the route.
In Eastern Iowa, the cyclists will pedal through Victor, Ladora, Marengo, the Amana Colonies, Wilton and West Branch.
