Prosecutors have dropped one drug-related charge against former University of Iowa receiver Derrell Johnson-Koulianos and his roommate.
Formal charges filed in the last week outline five drug possesion charges against Johnson-Koulianos. The state alleges he was in possession of cocaine and marijuana, as well as drugs Ambien, Diazepam and Dilauded without prescriptions.
Prosecutors did not file formal charges of maintaining a drug house, for which they initially charged Johnson-Koulianos, 23, and his roommate, Brady C. Johnson, 21. The men lived together at 1128 E. Washington St., Iowa City.
Johnson faces charges of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver after police found marijuana, a digital scale and $3,000 at his house, according to the trial information filed Wednesday in Johnson County District Court.
Johnson was also charged with possession of Xanex and Promethazene without prescriptions, the trial information states.
Johnson-Koulianos will be arraigned Feb. 3.
