Property taxes due by end of March
Property taxes are due Wednesday in Linn County. Taxes can be paid in the Linn County Treasurer's Office at Westdale Mall, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, or they can be mailed to 930 First St. SW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52404.
Payments postmarked Wednesday or earlier will be considered on time. A penalty of 1.5 percent will be attached to any late payment.
The Treasurer's Office encourages residents to send their taxes in by mail to avoid waiting in line. Taxes can also be paid on the Internet at www.iowataxandtags.gov
