Power restored to 1,300 Alliant Energy customers after brief outage
CEDAR RAPIDS - More than 1,300 Alliant Energy customers spent about 90 minutes without power on Saturday night.
Alliant Energy spokesperson Scott Drzycimski said that 1,352 customers were affected by the outage. Drzycimski says the outage happened shortly after 6:30 Saturday night when a tree fell on a power line along Valley View Drive in rural southeast Cedar Rapids.
Power was restored to all customers just before 8PM Saturday.
