A co-owner of the Cedar Rapids Titans is selling his stake in the professional football team through Craigslist.
The Titans announced Monday that minority owner Mike Polaski is trying to sell his 20 percent ownership in the two-year-old Indoor Football League team.
Polaski writes on Craigslist that a downturn in his business as a restaurant owner is causing him to liquidate his ownership. He's asking for $80,000.
The team's general manager and co-owner, Chris Kokalis, says Polaski was influential in bringing the team to Cedar Rapids and remains - quote -- "a valued-member of the Titans' ownership group." He says Polaski's decision to sell has no impact on the Titans' daily operations.
The Titans (3-0) are in first place in IFL's United Conference and face the Wyoming Cavalry on Friday.
