Police search for three men responsible in stabbing and robbery
Police are looking for the men who robbed and stabbed a man in northwest Cedar Rapids early Sunday.
The victim, 40, told officers he was walking in the 1000 block of Eighth Street NW shortly after 2 a.m. when a 1980s-vintage dark-colored sedan pulled up and three men got out. The men began hitting the victim, grabbed the cross necklace he was wearng, got back in the car, and left.
Sometime during the assault the victim suffered a minor stab wound to the left forearm. He took a private vehicle to St. Luke's Hospital, where police were called.
