A Waterloo man was arrested this week after police said he harassed a woman by sending several threatening text messages and calls over a three-day period.
According to a Johnson County Sheriff's Office criminal complaint, Bradley J. Anhorn, 20, sent the victim approximately 64 text messages and called her 54 times between Aug. 21 and Aug. 23, stating he was "on his way to Iowa City to burn down her house, come to Iowa City and take care of her, come to Iowa City and show her, and pay her house in Waterloo a visit and burn it down.”
Police say Anhorn also sent messages telling the woman if she didn't start talking to him, he would burn her house down while she was sleeping and he would ruin her life. One message also allegedly stated “UR DONE 4.”
Anhorn allegedly told the victim he knows where a gun is kept and he would kill himself after he burned her house down and killed her. Police say he also stated he would take care of anyone who tried to stop him.
Anhorn was arrested Monday. He has been charged with first-degree harassment and was being held in the Johnson County Jail Thursday on a $25,000 cash only bond.
