Police arrested a Cedar Rapids woman early Saturday morning after she allegedly went after her boyfriend with a steak knife.
Kiya R. Holloway, 19, has been charged with domestic assault with a weapon and providing false identification information. Her boyfriend was not seriously hurt in the incident.
According to a police report, officers were dispatched around 1:50 a.m. to the couple's apartment at 1233 Third Ave. SE, No. 7. They learned Holloway and her boyfriend, Derrick Berry, 31, had been arguing most of the day, and it turned physical when Holloway grabbed a steak knife.
Holloway is accused of cutting Berry in the right hand with the knife, police said. Berry declined medical attention at the scene.
Holloway was taken to the Linn County Jail, where she was being held on $6,500 bond.
