Police looking for Iowa City robbery suspects

Iowa City police are looking for three men who allegedly beat and robbed another man at knifepoint Thursday night.
The victim reported that the incident happened at about 11:30 p.m. in a parking lot in the 400 block of South Johnson Street.
One of the suspects asked the victim for a cigarette. When the victim said he did not have one, the three men grabbed him and kicked and punched him, according to a news release.
One of the men then held a knife to the victim's throat while the other two took the victim's wallet and jewelry, according to the release. The men put the victim on the ground and ordered him to stay, and then fled northbound on foot.
The victim received minor injuries but did not require medical attention.
The victim described his assailants as black men in their mid-twenties, between 5 feet 11 inches and 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing 160 pounds to 175 pounds, wearing black hats, blue jeans and dark shirts.
