Police investigate shooting in SE Cedar Rapids
Cedar Rapids Police are at the scene of a shooting at 1603 5th Ave. SE.
Police said someone fired multiple shots at a neighboring house, then ran inside the house at 1603 5th Ave SE. When they arrived they detained about 11 people, most of whom are teens. A few younger children were released to their parents. Others are being questioned at this time.
Police Sergeant Dan Jabens said he does not believe anyone was hit by the gunfire. Jabens also said they are still trying to locate the victims, who may have run from the scene.
Police are investigating a shooting in SE Cedar Rapids Friday night.
