VERNON, Ind. (AP) - Police say a southern Indiana woman tried to smuggle drugs to an inmate at the Jennings County Jail by hiding them in a Bible.
The Republic of Columbus reports that 21-year-old Sara Roseberry faces felony charges of dealing methamphetamine and trafficking with an inmate. She was being held Thursday at the jail on a $100,000 bond.
The Columbus woman is accused of concealing methamphetamine and tobacco in a Bible she left for a male friend who's an inmate at the jail about 60 miles south of Indianapolis.
Jail employees found the meth and tobacco inside the Bible's binding.
