A missing parolee has been found in downtown Iowa City.
The Iowa City Press Citizen reports 31-year-old Clint Askvig turned up last week in an alley. Police say he was arrested after showing signs of being drunk.
Askvig had been staying at Hope House as a condition of his parole. Hope House is a residential facility operated by the Iowa Department of Correctional Services.
Askvig left Hope House on Nov. 30 and was scheduled to return 45 minutes later. He didn't return.
Askvig faces three misdemeanor charges: absence from custody, unlawful possession of a prescription drug and public intoxication.
A jailer said Askvig remained in the Johnson County Jail on Monday, pending $32,000 bail. Online court records don't list his attorney.
