Police chase, arrest Waterloo man

Police were involved in a car chase last night.

The chase started just before 9 p.m. in the 100 block of Williston Avenue on the west side of Waterloo.

Police witnessed the driver dumping something out of his car during the chase. He eventually ran away, but police caught up with him.

The chase ended on the east side of Waterloo, about five miles from the start.

Police arrested 27-year-old Keith Bertch of Waterloo on several charges, including eluding police and possession of a controlled substance.
