Podcast: 'On The Record' talks Luerkens trial

This week's On the Record talks about the Nicholas Luerkens murder trial. A jury convicted Luerkens of first-degree murder Monday. According to testimony, Luerkens, 33, plotted to kill former girlfriend 29-year-old Lynnsey Donald after following and harassing her for the last two months of her life.

Anastasia Wilson, victim/witness coordinator with the Linn County Attorney Office and Sarah Bliss, case manager with Cedar Valley Friends of the Family, are guests this week. They offer some insight into the dynamics of domestic violence and stalking.

We also talk about how Donald's 7-year-old child, witnesses and jurors are affected by seeing a traumatic event. The jurors in this case had to watch a surveillance video of the actual fatal attack.
