Mount Mercy students were helped by staff members at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids while playing the part of victims of a fictitious chemical explosion in a lab at the school Wednesday, April 17, 2013 during a mock emergency drill. Mercy Medical Center participates in two full-scale disaster drills each year. These drills test the readiness of the hospital staff in responding to various emergency situations.
