March of Dimes' March for Babies annual walk was held Sunday beginning at Noelridge Park in northeast Cedar Rapids. Despite the cool and rainy weather, about 800 participants showed up to walk the 8 mile route, as opposed to the usual 1,200. Consistent with the years past, about $190,000 was raised for the non-profit organization for pregnancy and babies. Over 100 teams – both family groups and corporate – were involved.
