Pedestrian hit on Edgewood Road at 16th Avenue SW

Responders took away a man in an ambulance Wednesday night after a crash involving a pedestrian.
Traffic was tied up for about twenty minutes at Edgewood Road and 16th Avenue SW, starting at 5:20 p.m. on Wednesday.
Cameron Scott, of Cedar Rapids, tells The Gazette that he was driving in the left lane, northbound on Edgewood Road when he hit a pedestrian who was in the roadway.
A police officer told Scott that he would not face any charges from the crash and that the pedestrian would be charged.
