Parkersburg man killed when motorcycle, van collide
One Parkersburg resident was killed an another was hurt when a van and a motorcycle collided in the city limits Tuesday.
Kristopher Walters, 30, of Parkersburg, was killed in a head-on collision with a van driven by Alan Spree, 55, of Parkersburg, at the intersection of Highway 14/57 and Top Air Road, according to the Iowa State Patrol.
Troopers said Walters was eastbound on his motorcycle around 6:50 p.m. when Spree's van turned left, into his path.
Walters was transported to Sartori Memorial Hospital in Cedar Falls, where he was pronounced dead. Spree was injured, but the report from the State Patrol did not indicate if he was taken to a hospital.
An investigation was continuing.
