Paige named UNC Athlete of Year
Linn-Mar graduate Marcus Paige was named the University of North Carolina's Male Athlete of the Year during a recent awards banquet at the school.
A sophomore, Paige was a first-team All-ACC basketball pick and second-team all-American by The Sporting News. He averaged 17.5 points per game for the Tar Heels.
Paige was a four-year starter at Linn-Mar and the Metro's all-time leading scorer. He was Iowa's Mr. Basketball in 2012.
