Owner of Clear Lake gas station sues over bad fuel

MASON CITY, Iowa (AP) - The owner of a Clear Lake gas station has filed a lawsuit over what it calls bad fuel.
The filing from Duale Star Inc. in Cerro Gordo County District Court says the fuel that was purchased in November 2010 for the Clear Lake Shell Store. The lawsuit says there was too much water in the fuel, which caused problems for customers' vehicles.
The lawsuit names Consolidated Energy Company, which has since been acquired by Harland Fuel Products, and Solar Transport. Spokesmen for the companies had no comment.
Duale Star is seeking unspecified monetary compensation.
