Overheated humidifier sends smoke through Cedar Rapids police dispatch
UPDATE: An overheated humidifier near the Cedar Rapids police department's dispatch center sent smoke into the dispatch computer room this morning.
Fire crews arrived at the police department around 10:20 a.m. and investigated on the third floor of the police department, at 505 First St. SW.
No one was evacuated, and dispatch communications continued through the incident.
