Ottumwa police investigate apparent murder-suicide
UPDATE: Ottumwa police are investigating an apparent murder-suicide that left a man and woman dead.
Police say officers were called to a home after the report of a shooting late Thursday.
They found the bodies of 46-year-old Deborah Sue Gardner and her husband, 47-year-old William Olen Gardner. Both had been shot, and police say the investigation indicates William Gardner shot his wife, then himself.
