One man injured in Allamakee County explosion
A Waukon man is recovering from injuries he received in an explosion on Sunday. The Allamakee County Sheriff's Office says the explosion happened shortly before 8 p.m. Sunday at a home northeast of Waukon.
John Donald Henningsgaard, 25, was attempting to light a brush pile on fire when an old fuel barrel caught on fire and exploded. Henningsgaard was severely burned and transported to Veteran's Memorial Hospital. He was then transferred to an Iowa City hospital. His condition is not being released at this time.
A Waukon man was severly burned Sunday in an explosion in Allamakee County.
