One killed in crash near Ainsworth
AINSWORTH — One man was killed in a single-vehicle crash north of Ainsworth Sunday morning.
According to an Iowa State Patrol report, Robert Eugene Williams, 84, of Crawfordsville, was southbound on Highway 218 near county road G36, north of Ainsworth, at 11:30 a.m. Sunday when his car entered the median and vaulted over a crossover. The car rolled and came to rest on its top in the median.
Williams was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
