Early-morning frost is blamed for a rollover accident Tuesday along Highway 218 that sent one man to the hospital.
Iowa State Patrol Sgt. Dave Willis said a sport-utility vehicle carrying three men was northbound near 70th Street around 8 a.m. when it hit a slick spot on a bridge.
The SUV spun off the west side of the road and rolled down a steep embankment. Windows in the vehicle shattered.
A Cedar Rapids man who was in the back seat was hurt and taken by air ambulance to St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Willis did not know the extent of his injuries. The driver and front-seat passenger were not injured.
Highway 218 was shut down for about 45 minutes near the scene to allow the helicopter to land.
