One hurt when car flips into business lot in Cedar Rapids
A man was hurt this morning when he flipped his car along Blairs Ferry Road NE.
The male driver had non-life threatening injuries, police said.
The car wound up on its top in a lot between shipping docks at Nash Finch, 1201 Blairs Ferry Rd. NE. The front end appeared to take the brunt of the damage, and its back window was shattered.
Police said the vehicle was traveling on Blairs Ferry Road and somehow wound up past a chain-link fence in the Nash Finch lot. Officers were still on the scene investigating and had not completed their report.
The driver, who was reportedly hanging upside down in the car for a moment, was taken to a hospital. His injuries are not considered life-threatening, police said.
