One hurt after jumping from party bus south of Hills

HILLS - One person was taken to a hospital this weekend after jumping out of a moving party bus in Johnson County.
Johnson County Sheriff Lonny Pulkrabek said the incident happened around 3:30 a.m. Sunday on Highway 218 south of Hills. The speed limit in that area is 65 miles per hour.
Pulkrabek said he did not know the condition of the unidentified person who jumped from the bus.
According to an email from the sheriff, the jumper pushed through an exit door on the bus before leaping out.
Party buses are commonly used to shuttle large groups of people between bars or other drinking venues. It is legal to drink alcohol on party buses in the state of Iowa.
