A woman was taken to University Hospitals Tuesday morning after her car collided with a pickup.
Emergency crews responded to 2549 Highway 1 SW in Iowa City around 8:30 a.m. for a report of a vehicle crash. Upon arrival, they found a Chrysler PT Cruiser had collided with a Ford F-150.
Police said the car was heading east on Highway 1 when the pickup pulled out of a driveway and the two vehicles collided. Police said the driver of the pickup, a man whose name and age could not be verified, did not see the car coming due to foggy conditions.
The truck's driver did not suffer any major injuries. Police would not comment on the extent of the injuries to the woman.
