OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - An Iowa couple were cited for misdemeanor child neglect after they left their 4-month-old baby girl in their car while they were downing drinks in an Omaha martini bar.
Police say Bryan and Tina Vannoy of Malvern had told others in the Reel Martini Bar on Friday night that they had plenty of money but couldn't find a baby sitter.
An employee says the Vannoys would go outside to check the baby, then return.
A bartender called police.
Officers say Tina Vannoy's blood-alcohol level tested out at 0.20 percent, more than twice the legal limit to drive. Her husband's was 0.12 percent, also above the legal limit of 0.08 percent.
The baby was taken into protective custody.
Associated Press attempts to reach the Vannoys on Monday were unsuccessful.
