Officials release name of man struck, killed by three vehicles on Highway 218

JOHNSON COUNTY - The Iowa State Patrol has released the name of the man who was killed on Highway 218 in Johnson County after he was hit by three vehicles on Oct. 3.
According to a crash report from the Iowa State Patrol, 25-year-old Jordan L. Engbretson of Iowa City was hit by three vehicles at around 8:56 p.m. near the 96 mile marker on northbound Highway 218. The report states that Engbretson was hit first by a northbound car, and then two more vehicles collided with him in the wake of this first collision.
The driver of the first vehicle was identified in the report as Blake D. Hellweg, 20, of Donnellson, while the drivers of the other two vehicles were identified as Jonathan D. Anderson, 22, of Mexico, MO., and Terene M. Jones, 43, of Iowa City.
The crash remains under investigation by the state patrol.
