No one was seriously hurt after a pickup rear-ended a septic truck Monday morning.
Emergency crews responded to the intersection of Highway 1 NE and 140th Street NE in Solon around 8:55 a.m. for a report of a two-vehicle accident with possible injuries.
Upon arrival, emergency crews found a white Chevrolet pickup driven by a woman whose name and age could not be verified had rear-ended a septic truck owned by Jim's Septic Service Inc.
Police said the septic truck was northbound on Highway 1 and was stopped at the intersection while waiting for vehicles in front of it to turn west onto 140th Street. The pickup, also heading northbound at a high rate of speed, rear-ended the septic truck while it was stopped. Police said they were investigating why the woman was not able to stop her vehicle.
The woman who drove the pickup was examined by paramedics on the scene, but was released.
