No injuries following small explosion at Waterloo library

WATERLOO – Just as the Waterloo Public Library was closing up for this Saturday, police and fire squads came to the library after a report of a small explosion.
Responders blocked off the streets near the library, at 415 Commercial Street in downtown Waterloo.
Our crews on the scene did see bomb squad members around the building.
One officer said a “pop bottle bomb” went off on the library's first floor and caused minor damage.
No injuries reported as of this time.
