A new packaging facility that will serve Procter & Gamble will open in late March in Iowa City, bringing about 75 new jobs.
Plans by Cincinnati-based Quality Associates for the new facility in the Scott Six Industrial Park were announced Wednesday by Iowa City Area Development. The 23-year-old company packages retail displays and assembles secondary packaging for multiple consumer product companies. It has been recognized by Procter & Gamble, which has a plant in Iowa City, as a top supplier.
The 245,000-square-foot packaging facility at 2630 Independence Avenue will focus on providing “functional cost-competitive packaging for retail consumer packaging goods,” according to Iowa City Area Development.
Quality Associates President Delores Epps said the expansion into Iowa City will further heighten the company's relationship with Procter and Gamble.
“For over two decades, we have experienced tremendous growth,” Epps said. “our success throughout the recent volatile economic environment is primarily due to our outstanding people and quality services.”
The company is accepting applications for maintenance technicians, quality inspectors, team leaders, shift managers and fork lift drivers with scanning experience. Cover letters and resumes can be e-mailed to
