National Guard helicopter lands in field near Keswick

UPDATE: An Army National Guard Chinook helicopter, en route to Cedar Rapids, landed in a farm field near Keswick Friday afternoon.

Witnesses said the helicopter landed in a cornfield south of the Keswick water tower.

Heavy rain Saturday and Saturday night kept the helicopter on the ground, Keokuk County Sheriff's Office officials said.
