Brett Noble, 39, was arrested around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to a news release from Muscatine County Attorney Gary Allison.
Muscatine police were called to 806 W. Eighth St. Monday to investigate an abandoned vehicle which had been found in the 2500 block of Pettibone Avenue, just south of Muscatine. The body of Kristi Nicosia, 40, was found at the home.
Noble was being held in the Muscatine County Jail pending an initial appearance Tuesday morning.
An autopsy was scheduled for today at the state medical examiner's office in Des Moines to determine the cause of Nicosia's death. Anyone with information related to the investigation is being asked to call Muscatine police at (563) 263-9922.
